Student Council

Career Center organization

Student Council is a Career Center organization designed to give students a knowledge of democracy in its real meaning; to establish higher standards of character, conduct, leadership, scholarship, and school spirit; to bring about better cooperation between students and staff; and to promote the general welfare of the student body.

Student Council provides many social activities for the student body and also engages in community service. Its officers serve on behalf of their fellow students, organizing and directing school events and activities. In addition to the officers selected to lead the council, each career technical program supplies two representatives and two alternates to serve on the council and speak for their vocational programs.

Student Council is also responsible for producing the Career Center yearbook each year.

This year’s Student Council advisor is Miss Karen Overholt.
